Deliberately mixing eras and genres, fascinated by the roots and history of each place, they plunge Orso, l'Hôtel Rochechouart and the Mikado Dancing back to the heart of the 20s. Addresses with a taste of yesteryear, they claim, subtly inspired by the Art-Deco lines of the restaurant and blending ideally with contemporary comfort.

After making their debut at the “Design Parade Toulon 5” at Villa Noailles, Marc-Antoine Biehler and Amaury Graveleine won the Audience Award for “Mirage” and the CHANEL Visual Merchandising Award for “Naissance.”

Graduates of Camondo, the Écoles Boulle, and Paris-Malaquais, respectively, they trained at leading Parisian firms: Marc-Antoine at Luis Laplace, and Amaury at Tristan Auer and Fabrizio Casiraghi, where he also established the interior design division at Christophe Delcourt.

They then founded the Biehler-Graveleine studio, where they combine architecture, interior architecture, and design—from the building’s exterior to the smallest details.

With the Grand Hôtel Capitole—the first Orso-branded hotel in Toulouse—they are completely reimagining an iconic and welcoming establishment designed to feel like a family home and deeply rooted in the city’s history. Set around a tree-lined courtyard, the hotel features a lounge with a fireplace, a cozy bar, guest rooms with varied atmospheres, and a vaulted spa inspired by Roman baths. Pastel hues and terracotta tones pay homage to local craftsmanship, while each space invites guests to slow down and reconnect with themselves.

With Orso, the duo designed the décor for their first hotel, Le Wallace. A place without history, free to be reinvented, and now tinged with Seventies inspirations, a blend of Italian Riviera and elegant Parisian retro.

A former costume designer for film and theater—notably for Justine Triet’s *The Battle of Solferino*—Mariette has developed an instinctive, scenographic approach to hospitality. Captivated by the aesthetics and artistic direction of the Apollo Palm Hotel in Athens, Anouk and Louis Solanet, founders of the Orso brand, entrusted Mariette Sans-Rival with creating the world of the Hotel Blanca.

For Blanca, her contribution goes far beyond mere decoration: Mariette designs the brass light fixtures, the nightstands, the desks, and the breakfast buffet, and has created several original paintings on display throughout the hotel.

For Orso, Giovanna de Bosredon created the world of the Hôtels Folie and Dalila, two colorful hotels on Paris’s Right Bank that are deeply integrated into their respective neighborhoods.

With the Hôtel Folie, the founder of Auguri Studio has designed an imaginary second home, halfway between a refuge and a respite, between memory and fiction. It’s a warm, textured world with a deliberate “offbeat” touch, where leopard-print carpets, peacock patterns, Napoleonic stripes, and vintage finds coexist joyfully, like so many travel souvenirs. Burl wood flows from one room to the next. The fabrics, all developed in collaboration with Maison Thévenon, play with patterns: never too much, never too little. The custom-designed furniture gives the whole space its silhouette: that of a home that has read widely, traveled often, and collected things with taste and a touch of mischief.

With the Dalila, Giovanna de Bosredon has approached the hotel the same way she approaches her many other projects—luxury boutiques, gourmet spots, and hospitality venues—with a relaxed sensibi√ítalité that blends vitality and understated elegance. For the Dalila, she set herself a challenge, treating it like a game: to blur the boundaries between the outside and the inside, to bring the city indoors. “Bringing Paris into the hotel: that’s the guiding principle of the project,” she explains. “By playing with conventions, incorporating numerous references to the outside world, and drawing on the neighborhood’s color palette—shades of orange, red, and green. The result: a confident yet warm minimalism that comes alive through color.”

For Orso, Marseille-born interior architect and designer Marion Mailaender has created the iconic design for Maggie Comptoir, a space modeled after a ship’s hold, where the scent of the sea blends with local flavors.

A graduate of the École Boulle, Marion Mailaender designs furniture collections, hotels, and restaurants—such as Tuba in Marseille and the Hôtel Rosalie in Paris—through her firm, blending styles and eras. In all her work, she embraces boldness, elegance, and humor. “Maggie Comptoir reflects working-class Paris,” she explains. “It’s a space with a raw steel facade reminiscent of neighborhood fishmongers’ storefronts, opening up through large floor-to-ceiling windows onto the street and Parisian life.”

Charlotte Cadé, co-founder of the Selency brand, designed the interior of theHôtel Cabane: the Togo in the lobby, vintage wooden chairs by Marcel Breuer, Bertoia and Thonet, and other design pieces are displayed everywhere from the entrance to the bar and lounge to cabane...

In the eyes of this passionate bargain hunter, offering interior design to professionals was a real opportunity to test a new form of collaboration that went beyond simply buying on a platform. For Cabane, Charlotte and her teams played the role of interior decorators, scripting the spaces and adding a 70's touch, without being arrogant, or even obvious.

With Orso, Gesa Hansen designed the decor for the Ami Hotel. A simple, minimalist Nordic theme, she says, featuring authentic, raw materials.

She envisionsthe Orphée hotel as “a comfortable haven, in stark contrast to the intense urban atmosphere of the capital—an ideal of purity infused with authenticity.”

The duo's refined style is marked by simplicity and lightness, as seen in the two Orso hotels they have worked on: Hotel Doisy and Hotel Leopold.
