Hotel Doisy

City trip for lovers in May

Travelling to Paris as a couple: a romantic day at the HĂ´tel Doisy

Rediscover Paris for two, like a Parisian from the 17th arrondissement. Nestled between the Arc de Triomphe and the Batignolles, HĂ´tel Doisy becomes the starting point of a romantic itinerary: a boutique design hotel, quiet and well placed for strolling!

10h30. A gentle wake-up call and breakfast in bed

In the subdued light of a room designed by BR Design, the day slowly dawns. There's no race against the clock here: breakfast is served until 11am on weekends. A godsend for late risers. On the menu: golden pastries from the bakery next door, homemade granola and homemade jams, accompanied by freshly squeezed juice and steaming filter coffee. In bed, on the suite's terrace or under the glass roof: it's a great way to start the day.

12h00. Stroll in the Parc Monceau

Just a fifteen-minute walk from the hotel, Parc Monceau unfurls its elegant alleys and romantic atmosphere. White statues, wrought-iron bridges, colonnades and perfectly manicured lawns create an almost timeless setting. It's the ideal place for a hand-in-hand stroll, a picnic for two or a moment of shared reading in the shade of a century-old tree. Our best address for picnics? Boulangerie Liberté on rue Poncelet, their cookies are a must.

15h00. Shopping between Ternes and Batignolles

Etoile Disques at 21 rue Lebon is the place to go for a poster of Bébél (Jean-Paul Belmondo) in Flic ou voyou, a Tintin album from the '70s, or vinyl by New Order or the Rolling Stones.

Back to the lively streets of Batignolles. This district, popular with designers and independent spirits, is full of charming boutiques. Stroll between well-known boutiques and vintage bazaars!

16h30. Gourmet break and sweet cocoon

The afternoon continues in one of the neighborhood's confidential tea rooms. At Maison Aleph, oriental sweets meet French pastry finesse. At Café Pimpin, the carrot cake is a banger - don't share it, each to his own.

Should the weather change, you can always take refuge in the hotel with a cup of Kodama tea and a slice of homemade cake.

19h00. Sunset over the Arc de Triomphe

Just a stone's throw from the hotel, the Arc de Triomphe offers an unrivalled panoramic view over the rooftops of Paris. Climbing up to the terrace, couples can admire the city ablaze in the gold and pink hues of twilight. Cliche! you may say. Yes, but the climb is quick and the view unforgettable. Why deprive yourself?

20h00. Dinner for two

When night falls, it's time for dinner. There's no shortage of options in the 17th arrondissement.

A slight preference for Prout Prout (reservations required), their chef revisits classic French cuisine with a modern, inventive twist, focusing on fresh, local, seasonal produce. Yum! - Menu from : 30 €.

Or go to Le Bougnat (15 rue de Torricellie), with its Auvergne character and Parisian gouaille. Laurence and Eric Deconquand have been running this bistro for 20 years, serving pork pâté, cassoulet, lentil sausage or stuffed cabbage, all washed down with fine gibolins, Pic saint loup and Saint-Pourçain stars. Gentian on the way up for dessert. - Menu from : 30 €.

22h00. Time for bed!

Enough gamboling, a well-deserved rest.
