Orso's tips for August

What to do in Paris in August

‍Profiterdu soleil en rooftop: Maggie & Tuco

There's nothing like the heat and long hours of August for rooftop sunbathing and a refreshing cocktail. Whether you're on the Right or Left Bank, Orso has just what you're looking for. In the Pigalle district, on the heights of Paris, enjoy the 360° view and country spirit of Maggie's Rooftop. A summery lunch menu is followed by Mediterranean-style small plates to share in the evening. At the bar, sip original cocktails or a selection of wines from the South of France.

Would you rather escape to Italy on a hidden terrace? Tuco's rooftop welcomes you for aperitifs, where you can enjoy spritzers and signature cocktails accompanied by delicioso antipasti. Bonus: an Italian riviera spirit with a view of the Eiffel Tower - unique, isn't it?

Thomas Maileander exhibition at the MEP

All summer long, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie has given carte blanche to multimedia artist Thomas Mailaender, craftsman of the weird and wonderful, and fan of the cyanotype, a photographic process dating back to 1842, long reserved for the reproduction of notes, architectural plans or industrial drawings, and which produces a photo print dominated by a deep, intense blue. In particular, Thomas Mailaender used this process to give our iodized Lemons & Oysters counter an underwater effect that surprises and immerses visitors in a fabulous aquarium.

So let's (re)discover the zany spirit of Thomas Mailaender and cool off with Zélikha Dinga 's delicious ice creams in the MEP's cobbled courtyard.
