Rooftop overlooking Montmartre: Maggie launches her lunch menu

Where to eat in Pigalle? Maggie's rooftop just opened for lunch!

There are places where time stretches out a little more slowly. Places where you want to put down your phone, order something fresh, and remake the world in front of a view that leaves you speechless. This is exactly what Maggie, the rooftop restaurant at the Hôtel Rochechouart (Paris 9th), now opens every lunchtime. With a panoramic view of the Sacré-Coeur, seasonal cuisine to share and plenty of sunshine, we present our new lunchtime HQ.

Lunch with Paris at your feet

Perched at the very top of the Hôtel Rochechouart, the Maggie rooftop is already well known to night owls and sunset lovers. But since May 25, it has also been welcoming midday hedonists. And the good news is that at this time of day, the rooftop is bathed in light, less crowded and more conducive to great conversations and solo breaks.

Here, Paris is revealed in all its splendor: direct views of Montmartre, zinc roofs, clear skies (fingers crossed), and a guaranteed country atmosphere. An air of vacation without leaving Pigalle.

A fresh menu to share

For the occasion, Maggie has devised a tailor-made menu, designed for lunches that take their time or for those in a hurry between 2 meetings. The tone is set: seasonal produce, Mediterranean recipes, greenery and sunshine. Order 2 or 3 plates for the table, a glass of rosé (or a house cocktail), and that's it.

On the menu:

  • Mayo eggs, Padron pimientos, chili flake oil (€11)
  • Green gazpacho, raw cream, pine nuts (€12)
  • Burrata 250g, fennel, cucumber, taggiasche olives (23 €)
  • Grilled octopus with sweet bell pepper sauce (€20)
  • Vitello tonnato, a well-executed Italian classic (€15)
  • Chocolate mousse with cat's tongue for a sweet finish (€11)

Everything is simple, fresh, well sourced, and designed to make you want to order "just one more dish".

An Orso experience: design, sunshine and good humour

Maggie, it's not just a card. It's a state of mind. Orso's: cheerful hospitality, attention to detail without formalism. On the rooftop, the decor is summery, the tables well spaced, the waiters smiling and the playlist sunny. You'll feel right at home in your own garden, with a view to boot. Get out the sun cream!

Lunch at Maggie's is a relaxing, flower-filled break from the hustle and bustle of Pigalle.

A place designed to last (and come back to)

We tried it once because a ami told us about it. We soon went back and Maggie became a habit. For lunches with girlfriends, birthdays on the go, or afterworks that turn into sunsets.

And if you're looking for a private address for your business or family events, Maggie ticks all the boxes too: the view, the charm, the simplicity.
